WIS Support
Where is my registration code?As a customer you expect prompt support and service. We at WebMaster Internet Services desire to meet and surpass your expectations. We process purchases in real time and your code should arrive the same day you purchased a program. Due to net traffic and other anomalies sometimes your code may get to you one or two days later. During long weekends or holiday weekends please allow 3 to 4 business days for your code to get to you through e-mail. Probably the single most important issues people have in not receiving their registration codes has to do with:
Please make sure you are including your HotSync ID in the relevant purchases and adjust your spam filters to make sure our e-mails get through. This can easily be done by including our domain @webmasteris.com on your e-mail white list. It is very important that you keep these registration codes in a safe place. Keeping them on your computer only may not be a good idea since you can loose all the data on your computer via a virus or hard disk failure. Make backup copies to your handheld device as well. Since you may have a registration code of an unsupported program or program version (see upgrade policy) you may want to keep it if you don't intend to upgrade to the supported version. We are not responsible for lost codes. If you loose your code and ask us for your code you will only receive the codes of supported programs and program versions found on our online store. We don't keep codes of programs or program versions we no longer support. HotSync ID/Registration IssuesTo troubleshoot these problems you first need to determine that your HotSync
ID is actually the same one you sent us. Exporting to Doc/Memo FileAfter launching the program, make sure the table filter, usually located on the top right corner, is not set to "All". You can only export filtered items from the database, unless there is an option in the menu items that allows you to export the entire database to a Palm doc or Memo file. After selecting the menu item to "export" you will see a brief dialogue indicating the items are being exported. In some OS's you need to be viewing the filtered table you are about to export for proper exporting. If you are viewing another form on the application and try to export you may get an error and will need to reset your Palm (Soft Reset). You will need a Palm doc reader to verify the doc file was created. Locate the doc file in your reader. Some readers require you search the Palm database to find newly created files. If you exported to memo, open your memo app to look for the newly created memo file. If you have never created a memo before, i.e., your memo pad app has no other records, you may get an error when trying to create a memo from the "Export to Memo" feature. Now that your file is created you want to transfer it to your desktop. If it was a memo file it is easy. Just HotSync your PDA and the file will be transferred to MS Outlook® or the Palm Desktop®, depending on which you choose to sync. To work with doc files on your desktop on MS Word® or
other document editors you will need a third party program that will open Palm
OS® doc (.pdb) files with your desktop. You can use Amber
Palm Converter® to read or convert your Palm®
doc files to many other formats you can view or edit on your desktop. You can
get their free program here. Working with our Palm Application Databases on WindowsIf you wish to work with the database generated by our Palm programs on your
PC, manipulating it through CSV (comma separated values) files, you will need a
program that maps the Palm database to a text file (CSV) you can use with
programs like MS Excel® or MS Access®.
You can get this program and its help files here: The process of conversion is detailed in the helps files.
